Quick start with Postoria

This quick start guide shows how to go from a new Postoria account to publishing and tracking your first posts across multiple social networks.

1. Sign in to the Postoria web app

After you sign up, you’ll be redirected to the main web app:

  • Open app.postoria.io
  • Sign in with your chosen method (email/password or social login)

All further steps happen inside the web app.

2. Check your workspace time zone

Your workspace time zone controls how you see all times in Postoria: scheduling, publishing, and analytics. It’s the first thing to verify.

  1. Go to the Workspaces page.
  2. Open your workspace settings.
  3. Check the Time zone field.
  4. If it’s not correct, set it to your local time zone and save.

All dates and times in Postoria will now be shown in this time zone.

3. Connect your social media accounts

Next, connect the profiles and pages you want to publish to.

  1. Go to the Accounts page.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Choose the social network:
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • LinkedIn
    • Google Business Profile
    • Threads
    • Pinterest
    • YouTube
    • TikTok
    • Telegram
    • Bluesky
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions:
    • You’ll be redirected to the social network
    • Approve the requested permissions
    • Select the pages/profiles you want to connect

Repeat for all platforms you plan to manage in Postoria.

4. Create your first post

Once accounts are connected, you’re ready to create a post.

  1. Go to the Posts page.
  2. Click the arrow next to “New”.
  3. Choose how you want to create a post:
    • By social network — select networks first
    • By content type — select a format (for example, Media, Link, Story), and Postoria will automatically pick networks that support it

This gives you flexibility to either start from “where to publish” or “what to publish”.

5. Understand the editor layout

The post editor has two main areas:

  1. General block (top)

    • Shows all selected social networks together
    • Used for settings that can apply to all of them at once (for example, main caption and link)
  2. Network-specific sections (below)

    • One section per social network
    • Used for platform-specific adjustments:
      • Content type
      • Custom caption, link, media
      • Additional options supported only on that network

You can start from the general block and then fine-tune each network as needed.

6. Choose social networks and accounts

  1. Use the Networks button to select which social networks should be included in this post.
  2. Use the Accounts button to choose the specific pages/profiles for each selected network.

You can publish the same content to:

  • One account on one network
  • Multiple accounts on one network
  • Multiple accounts across several networks at once

In the editor you can:

  • Write or paste a caption in the general block

  • Add a link, if Link content type is selected for the social network

  • Upload media (images or videos), depending on the content type and network:

    • Some platforms require an image or video to publish
    • Some support both and let you choose the content type

If needed, you can set custom captions, links and media in individual network sections.

8. Adjust per-platform settings

Each social network may have its own rules and limits (for example, caption length, required media, or supported content types).

In the network-specific sections, you can:

  • Switch between available content types for that platform (for example, Media, Link, Story, etc.)
  • Set custom captions for specific networks
  • Add or adjust media per platform
  • Configure any other options available for that network in Postoria

This allows you to keep your post unified while still respecting each platform’s specifics.

9. Publish now or schedule

When everything is ready:

  • Captions are set
  • Links and/or media are added
  • Networks and accounts are selected

You have two options:

  • Publish now

    • Leave the date/time empty
    • Click Publish now to send the post immediately to all selected networks
  • Schedule for later

    • Set the desired date and time
    • Click Schedule
    • The post will be sent automatically according to your workspace time zone

10. Review your published or scheduled posts

After publishing or scheduling a post:

  • Open the post on Postoria that you just published.
  • For published posts, you’ll see links to the live posts (where supported by the network).
  • For scheduled posts, you’ll see the planned date and time. You can also see scheduled posts on the Calendar page.

This is a quick way to verify that everything was created correctly.

11. Check the dashboard and analytics

Once you start publishing via Postoria, you can see results on the Dashboard and in Analytics:

  • Basic performance metrics per network (where APIs allow), for example:
    • Impressions
    • Reach
    • Reactions/likes
    • Comments
    • Shares/reposts
  • Number of posts published over a selected period

Analytics helps you understand what works best and where to focus your efforts.
