Previously, Instagram accounts could be connected to Postoria using Facebook Login. With our latest update, you can now choose between Instagram Login or Facebook Login—whichever suits your workflow and permissions setup best.

Postoria supports analytics for posts published via Postoria. Some data may refresh with a short delay depending on the platform.
Which method should you choose?
Use Instagram Login if you:
- Manage a single account or prefer a direct connection
- Don’t need to manage associated Facebook Pages in Postoria
- Want the most straightforward setup path
Use Facebook Login if you:
- Manage multiple Instagram accounts tied to Facebook Pages
- Work within a Business Manager or agency environment
- Need granular Page/Business permissions (roles, teams, approvals)
Both methods are secure and API-compliant. Choose the one that matches your access model.
How to connect with Instagram Login
- Go to Accounts → Connect in Postoria.
- Select Instagram → Instagram Login.
- Authenticate with your Instagram credentials and approve requested permissions.
- Confirm the account and finish the connection.
If you use two-factor authentication (recommended), have your verification method ready.
How to connect with Facebook Login
- Go to Accounts → Connect in Postoria.
- Select Instagram → Facebook Login.
- Sign in with your Facebook profile that manages the Page linked to the Instagram account.
- Grant the required permissions and select the Instagram account(s) to connect.
Make sure your Facebook profile has the correct Page or Business Manager role; otherwise accounts may not appear in the selector.
Permissions you’ll see (and why)
- Manage and publish to Instagram accounts — allows scheduling and publishing from Postoria.
- Access basic metrics — enables analytics for posts published via Postoria.
- Read content — lets Postoria verify connected profiles and sync status.
You can revoke access at any time via Instagram/Facebook settings.
Troubleshooting

Account not showing after login
- Verify the Instagram account is Professional (Business/Creator).
- If using Facebook Login, confirm the Instagram is linked to a Facebook Page you manage.
- Check your Page/Business Manager role (Admin or Editor typically required).

Authorization loop or blank screen
- Try a desktop browser.
- Disable aggressive content blockers for the authorization step.
- Clear cache or use a private window, then retry.

Analytics missing
- Analytics are available for posts published via Postoria.
- Confirm permissions were granted during connection; reconnect if prompted.
Security and privacy
- Authentication occurs on Instagram/Facebook—Postoria never sees your password.
- Access tokens are stored securely and can be revoked from your Instagram or Facebook settings at any time.
- Postoria requests only the scopes needed for publishing and analytics.

- The experience you know: plan, schedule, and publish Instagram content from the Posts or Calendar pages.
- Unified view across networks, plus post-level analytics inside Postoria Analytics.
- Support for multi-brand workflows via Workspaces.
