Postoria now supports RSS automations

Postoria now includes RSS automations, giving users a faster way to turn new content from an RSS feed into scheduled or published social posts. RSS automations are available on Pro and Agency plans.

This feature is useful for anyone who regularly shares content from:

• Blogs
• News feeds
• Media sites
• Other frequently updated sources

Instead of manually checking for new posts and creating social content one item at a time, you can let Postoria detect new feed updates and move that content into your publishing workflow automatically.

This is useful for anyone who wants to stay consistent without adding more manual work. When new content appears in a connected RSS feed, Postoria can either import it for review or publish it automatically, depending on the automation mode you choose. That gives users more control over how hands-on or hands-off they want the workflow to be.

The feature also supports several publishing formats, including:

• Image posts
• Link posts
• Story posts

Users can add a first comment, choose an automatic caption based on selected keywords, or write their own custom caption. This makes RSS automations flexible enough for different content strategies, whether the goal is simple distribution, traffic generation, or keeping social channels active with minimal effort.

Choose the image source

When Publish as is Image, Story, or Carousel, the Preferred image source setting lets you choose one option:

• RSS image (default) uses the image attached to the feed item (enclosure).
• Open Graph image prefers the article’s og:image.
• Twitter / X image prefers the article’s twitter:image.

If the preferred Open Graph or Twitter image is missing or cannot be downloaded, Postoria uses the RSS enclosure. If there is no enclosure, it uses the Open Graph image when that image has not already been tried. With the default RSS option, Open Graph is also used when there is no enclosure.

An error downloading an existing enclosure stops processing that item; it does not trigger a switch to Open Graph.

Also publish to Stories

To publish regular content and reuse its media in Facebook or Instagram Stories, enable Also publish media to Stories in the automation settings. The option appears when you select a Facebook or Instagram account and a supported Publish as format. Each attached image or video becomes a separate Story on those accounts when the post is published.
