How to import media as posts in Postoria
Import media as posts lets you select a batch of images or videos from your computer and turn every file into a separate draft post. You do not need a CSV file or publicly accessible media URLs.
The drafts stay in the normal Postoria workflow, where you can review and edit them before adding the batch to a queue or publishing it.
Before you start
Here are the main things to know:
- Direct media import is available on Pro and Agency plans
- You must select at least one social account and a queue
- You can import up to 100 files in one batch
- Each file creates one separate draft post
- All selected accounts must support the chosen content type
- The content type, caption, and platform settings apply to every post in the batch
- Image imports accept JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, and GIF files; video imports accept MP4 and MOV files
- The usual validation rules for every selected social network still apply
Choose the accounts and queue
- Open the Posts page
- Click Bulk upload and choose Import media as posts
- Select the social accounts you want to use, or apply an existing posting group
- Select the queue that should receive the posts after you review the drafts
- Click Proceed
Selecting a queue does not publish the files immediately. Postoria creates drafts first and waits for you to confirm the next action.
Configure settings for all posts
The Settings for all posts step applies one set of values to the entire batch:
- Content type is required. Postoria offers Image, Video, Story, or Reel only when every selected account supports that type
- Caption is optional and is copied to every draft
- Who can watch TikTok posts is required when a TikTok account is selected
- YouTube title template is required when a YouTube channel is selected. Use
{filename}to insert each original file name without its extension - YouTube category is optional
For example, if Instagram and Facebook accounts are selected, Story and Reel can be available. If any selected account does not support one of those types, Postoria removes it from the list.
Click Proceed after completing the required settings.
Upload the media files
- Drag and drop files into Upload media files, or click the area to select them from your computer
- Check the selected file list and remove anything you do not want to import
- Click Upload and create drafts
- Wait while Postoria uploads the files and creates the posts
- Review the resulting draft posts
- Choose whether to add all drafts to the selected queue or publish them now
If an upload fails, the failed file remains visible with an error so you can retry it.
What happens after the drafts are created
After processing, the drafts appear in the Bulk Upload view. From there you can:
- Open and edit an individual draft
- Use Queue all draft posts to add the complete batch to the selected queue
- Use Publish all draft posts now when the batch is ready to go live immediately
- Continue managing the posts through the regular Posts, Calendar, and Queue views
Adding the drafts to the queue does not assign fixed dates manually. Each post waits for the next available slot according to that queue’s schedule and order.

Common questions
Can I import images and videos in the same batch?
Story can accept both supported image and video files. Image accepts image files, while Video and Reel accept video files. Every file in a batch uses the same selected content type.
Why is Story or Reel missing from the content type list?
Postoria shows only content types supported by every selected account. For example, Story and Reel are available when the selection contains only compatible Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Can I import more than 100 files?
Not in one batch. Create another media import for the next group of files.
Can I use a spreadsheet instead?
Yes. Choose Import posts from CSV from the Bulk upload menu when your content is prepared in a spreadsheet or includes different settings for individual posts.
Are the imported posts published automatically?
No. Postoria creates drafts first. Review them, then add them to the selected queue or publish them when they are ready.
